I think there’s a difference between outright shaming someone for what they like, and sharing an honest opinion about a specific item or trend. Sometimes the “don’t yuk someone else’s yum” phrase can be used in a way that stifles conversation, where people might feel they can’t critique or discuss something at all without being accused of being negative. I think there’s room for both: respecting personal taste, while still being able to have honest, thoughtful dialogue about fashion.
How did you package John’s order so it didn’t leak?
Thankfully he was a burrito bowl person. Can’t imagine trying to wrap that into a tortilla!
