Thank you so much for the open thread, truly <3

I don't think that I'm the only one who has noticed that the sizing seems to be getting smaller with summer 2026. Is this a trend that will continue? I used to consistently be a tibi 12 and now I fear even the 14 in certain items (like the skort, which I pre-ordered and then cancelled) would never fit me comfortably. I don't want to be sized out of tibi!

Hi there. The sizing has absolutely not gotten smaller - I can say that as we are maniacal about working off of slopers(this is what our pattern makers use each time when we begin building an item). That said, over the course of the last year, I have added more “fitted or tailored” items in to my closet, and thereby the collection. All for the balance of big/slim/skin. The skort is absolutely designed to be tailored to the body for instance. When I wear the skort, it is fitted to my body. When I wear the exact same size in the Stella navy crinkle pant, the balloon pant, the pull on mini pleated skirt, the pull on black and white crinkle trouser, the white origami dress- they are off the body, relaxed, and have an “oversized” effect. When we design, and size our clothing, it is with an aim to give ourselves range in the closet. When we work towards that premise we find that we satisfy many, or some, but never all. You will continue to find pieces that are eased out but still modern and refined - because that is the core of who we are and it is the backbone of my wardrobe. But I deeply love mixing it up with a fitted pencil skirt, that tight little skort or a skinny pant to round out the mix.

Hi Amy … I have a few pairs of the Crispy Nylon Winslows & love them. I’m now looking at the Zepplin pant …is the fabric different even though it’s still a nylon? And is sizing comparable to the Winslows, as I noticed an ‘extended or stretched out’ measurement?

Great information, thanks for that.

I have a question about a fundamental, the charlie me ‘s slim shirt. You were wearing the other day in insta. If the measurements of the piece in the sizing section are true, how much ease do recommend in it? Were you having in it? I do not want it to be to tight nor to wide. Thank you

We call this a slim shirt more in that it is not oversized - meaning the armhole , the length the proportions are that of a tailored shirt. It’s not “tight” in that there are no princess seams that bring in the waist or ruching at arms to cinch. So when I wear the size small in charlie, it sits on my body - neither too big nor too small. I would buy your “regular” size - the size you generally wear in any other brand - it’s a pretty universal fit here.

It really depends on distribution of your measurements here - if you have a broader back and chest or are more curvy below. @acacia.tibi is one of our amazing stylists and she is technically trained and can really help you here.

I LOVE the ostrich print Gerard but the 40 was a little too wide for me (I'm a standard 40 in Tibi). Would sizing down .5 be an option? It looks like the width does not change on the size chart.

Hmmmm, I hadn’t heard this yet - and since your a standard 40 in Tibi that really should have fit you. Sizing down would make the foot bed slightly shorter and push your foot forward to a wider part of your foot so that could be the answer for you. Also, make sure you when you try them on that you stand up in them fully buckled. I see people all the time try something on when sitting cross legged and they think either the ankle strap is too tight or the bed too wide - until they stand up.

Hi Amy

Sharing a personal thing here in hopes of being answered.

I am totally terrified of ordering because of my sizing ptsd from all the years of actually going with my measurements and being screwed over from various brands “vanity sizing”

And here, I am considered to be a 24 r in pants and a 0/2 otherwise… and it feels too good to be true

But I don’t see myself as small as that so I don’t know what to do… considering the price point and where I live re shipping (Barbados).

Can you help me?

Thanks x

Please reach out to any of our stylists - like @darianne.tibi or @mallory.tibi- this is where they excel - because it’s important to know how you want something to fit. For anything on the line that we refer to as “oversized” that means we have engineered a relaxed look. When something is tailored to the body it is a close to the body. Therefore when something is oversized, it drapes on me in a 4; when it is close fitting, then it is tight to my body in a 4. It’s def not vanity sizing though I’ve heard a size 10 excited that they can fit in to a size 6 stella oversized pant. But that same person is upset when the fitted pencil skirt demands the size 10. That’s their choice to wear the stella pant differently than intended. It’s not wrong, as long as you know it’s a choice and the impact it has on other items you may be interested in. Sometimes this may seem complicated, but life is a little complicated if you want something great. Otherwise there is always a stretch teeshirt dress to be found anywhere - the most uncomplicated choice - but that would bore me to tears.

I’ve been known to gift mean moms a stretch tee

I am retired and travel a lot. I love all the crispy nylon pieces, and I do wash them, even though the tag said dry clean. I recently purchased the black and the blue slip dress made with acetate. The tag says dry clean, but when I spilled on it I wash out the spot….has anyone washed the dress…it makes it so much better for travel, thanks

Catherine, the labels are really there to protect us and the clothes - I would hate for something to be damaged . And we never know what type of washing machine someone has - a European one can be very different than one in New York - and way different than the machine my son has in his college apartment. If you have a machine that has a lingerie gentle cycle, and you wash in cold , and then lay flat or hang up to dry you will be safe. You’ll need to light press iron or steam afterwards - don’t hard press or you’ll loose some of the slight crinkle nature of the fabric.

I’ve washed my crispy nylon suit in the machine gentle countless times and I hand wash my slip dresses also many times 😁 love how easy they are to care for

Love Crispy Nylon! But, where can I find the in-seam measurements for non- adjustable items!

1: inseam of zeppelin pant?

the crispy nylon Stella shorts and Stella long skirt?

I’m petite and I’m never sure if they’ll work on me.

What can I wear underneath the Stella summer voile pants in ivory? And what are some ideas for tops to go with?

Amy Smilovic's avatar

Spanx has a range of boyshorts in a supima cotton that match a range of skin tones - they’re perfect for me. If you are fairer skinned, often the color light grey blends in with a light sheer fabric. On the top - anything goes - I’m wearing an oversized tee tied up from behind, a tank top, a denim shirt, a slouchy sweater, a big vneck knit, a sweatshirt, or the matching top!!!
