I always thought that quote was Mark Twain, but apparently it’s from Blaise Pascal in 1657. At least according to Google/ AI. That said, Amy, long is never too long with your writing! Love it all.

I thought it was Mark Twain as well!

My friend was seriously concerned about her memory issues - had every test under the sun. Turns out she has ADHD and was prescribed something. Life changing!

Another great post, Amy! Tibi has been so wonderful for me building my pyramid--but it doesn't stop me from wanting the same thing over and over! If someone has a modifier that leans away from some types of cuts or fabrics--do you think they should still push themselves to round out their wardrobe categories no matter their modifier? For example, my modifier is "nostalgia" and I am in love with triple-pleat pants/shorts and Stellas (in bio-twill, denim, TW, different nylons) and other femine bottoms like the balloon skirt and the pinch pleat dress. Should people like me force themselves to branch out?

Hi Amy - I've never commented on anything you've written before or on any Style Class episode, and I haven't even finished reading this post yet, but when you mentioned your fear of Alzheimer's, it really hit home. My father had the worse kind of Alzheimer's, the kind that completely erased the greatest man I have ever known. And my mother died with some form of dementia too, so I know what it feels like to have that weigh upon you. You used the word "succumbed", and it really is the perfect descriptor. ChatGPT tells me it means to give in to something, usually after resisting it or to be overcome by something stronger. You never quite get over watching the strongest people you know be overcome by this horrible disease. I know that's not really what this post is about, and I can't wait to read the rest because I have truly learned so much from you and your talented team about expressing myself through my style, but I felt the need to comment today.
